William Roche

I am a student at Florida Polytechnic University. I’m from North Port Florida, where I have lived my whole life. I went to North Port High school where I graduated with a 4.9 GPA and around 30 college credits from both AICE and AP programs. During high school, I taught myself skills like building computers, basic Python programming, front-end web development, and building Arduino. During high school, I not only developed these skills but developed a passion for engineering. I’m pursuing my passion at Florida Poly, where I am majoring in Computer Engineering with a concentration in Machine Intelligence. I am learning new skills like physics, the C programming language, and calculus. In my free time, I prefer to pursue activities that improve myself and my skill set. For example, I work out 6 days a week, go to the school’s combat robotics club on Thursdays, and teach myself how to program (basic Python and basic C so far).
